Zip It

Woo Hoo! It's here, it's here! The end of the A to Z Challenge and I made it. I feel like that person in cartoons and/or sitcoms who tries to run a big race and ends up literally dragging herself over that finish line three hours after everyone else has already gone home. It's been a great (if exhausting) challenge. I've found a lot of great new blogs to follow and have gained quite a few new followers of my own. I hope I don't disappoint...

That said, I'm cheating a little bit on this post as I am very far behind on— well, everything, really, and need to take a stab at getting caught up. So for your viewing pleasure, I'm posting what is quite possibly the greatest fifty three seconds in cinematic history (and yeah, that's a joke. I mean, I think this is a hysterical scene but it ain't no River Tam bar fight, if you know what I mean). Enjoy...

  6. Oh, how I love Austin Powers. Mike Myers is a genius, and I'll take this clip over most others any day! We made it through the alphabet! Yay!

It's been great getting to know you! I look forward to many more posts, though, possibly less frequently! :)

  7. I feel your happiness. I am so glad it is OVER.

I really don't like Austin Powers But I love this scene. I say Zip It a lot and every time I utter those words I think of this scene. Too funny. What a great way to end.

I only wish I could Zip It for a few days. Tomorrow I promised a friend I would be a part of a Blog Flash Mob for her new book (another forced march) and Wednesday is IWSG. Oh just shoot me!

  15. Congrats on making it through the challenge! It is exhausting, isn't it? I'd forgotten that from last year...and will probably forget and sign up again next year lol. I love that scene from Austin Powers, it always makes me laugh. I actually just saw that movie a few weeks ago on TV and laughed like a loon.

  16. Ha! Great clip for Z. When a problem comes along, you must zip it ... now zip it, zip it good. Not too tired to laugh at that one.

Also, the end of the challenge feels vaguely like the last day of school, doesn't it? :)

  17. If we're talking cartoons, I like to think we're like the tortoise, slow and steady till the end. The hare, on the other hand, fell asleep back on day 8. Take that, Bugs Bunny! In your face!

But it would've gone much more smoothly if I had a jet pack in my shell.
